Where will Johnny Damon end up?
(Source: baseball-heaven)
In 2011, the Tampa Bay Rays averaged next to last in attendance with under 19,000 per game. That’s unfortunate for a team that always seems to pull it together in recent years under Andrew Friedman and Joe Maddon, including an incredible run this past September. But player development and playoff…
Amongst the possible additions, are some old timers like:
Vladimir Guerrero
Johnny Damon
Luke Scott (ok, he’s not that old)and at 1B, Derrek Lee.
How will the Rays replace the possible losses of Johnny Damon and Casey Kotchman?

oh hey look another really awesome guy. And I honestly just was beginning to think NHL players were the only nice athletes.

Matt Moore being signed, and THIS? Too much awesomeness. TOO. MUCH.

It’s that time of year.
Maddon plus Price, Brignac, Rodriguez, Joyce, Zimmer, Shields, Damon will all be at 717 South, 717 S. Howard Ave in Tampa for Thanksmas tonight.
Just some of the best moments of the Rays 2011 season.
IS IT FUCKING APRIL YET?
Oh hey, I just watched this on Sun Sports at the gym tonight. I remember exactly what I was doing, exactly where I was/feeling/eating/everything when all of these events transpired in 2011. I mean, 7 walk-off wins in 2011? It was a magical year.

Wow, just saw a angry “sawks” fan write this bs in the Rays tag.
Johnny Damon become the bane of Red Sox fans’ existence in 2006 by jumping ship to join the hated Yankees. Now, he may just be at it again with his comments about the Rays’ comeback to make this postseason.
This comeback is very special — just because we were so many games behind, especially in that last day. The turn of events, and being able to go to the playoffs with my hometown team, it’s a very special moment … I think this comeback rates No. 1 for me.
Great, JD. Thanks. I don’t know what the hell we did to you in 2005, dude, but I’m sorry. Instead of your erasure of a 3-0 deficit against the Yankees that you capped off with a Game 7 grand slam in Yankee Stadium, you’re rating it beneath a comeback that was more a Sox collapse (.259 in September; .556 in the regular season) than a torrid month for the Rays (.630 in September; .562 in the regular season). Seriously, dude, why the bitterness? Don’t be an idiot.
Wow, get the fuck over it man. Now you know how we feel with Crawford.
I am still unsure what JD said wrong? He wants to end things with where he grew up, so what is wrong with all of this? Relaxxxxxxxxxx. After his career, he deserves it as well with his family. We were not thought of midseason back then but we are now, which is all that matters.
