Desmond Jennings is expected to start an rehab assignment mid-week and may be activated as soon as next weekend.
Evan Longoria may be back for the Mets series June 12 through June 14th.
Allen and Lobaton are both eligible to come off the disabled list and are currently on rehab assignments. Entering Sunday Brandon Allen had played 8 games for Port Charlotte and was hitting .207/.361/.379 with 9K/7BB and Jose Lobaton has played 9 games between Charlotte, Montgomery, and Durham and was hitting .067/.176/.100 with 7K/4BB.
Lobaton is now off that list, obviously.

Who else is stoked to see this?!
Yes! They said Evan Longoria ran light yesterday, which Maddon said was, “definitely great progress.”

The Texas Tower is out 4-6 weeks with a fractured fibula.

This is terrifying. Hellboy, get better soon.

Well, that just ruined my day. Hoping for the best. Poor kid :(.
I did not see this. I am late on this, obviously!

Josh Lueke called up.
Get well soon, Super Sam!

Reliever Matt Bush was charged with DUI, hit and run on Thursday.
Florida Highway Patrol said Bush was driving his SUV around 5 pm that struck a motorcycle driven by Anthony Tufano, 72. He then fled the scene. Apparently Bush literally ran over the man’s head. Thank goodness the man was wearing a helmet.
The report said alcohol was a problem. Alcohol has been a problem with Bush before.
Not only does he plunk Longo on the hand causing him to be out for a couple weeks, this happens.
More to come.

A recent MRI scan revealed that Brignac has a partial tear of the plantar fascia (underside of the foot, where the heel and arch meet). He had a cortisone shot on Monday and he claimed it helped, so hopefully he will be in action in 3-4 days.
This is horrible timing for an injury as he is competing with Sean Rodriguez for the shortstop position for Opening Day.
due to lingering lower abdominal strain.

Gomes limited in Spring Training due to back, but expects to be ready Opening Day.

The nearly four hour game against the Red Sox is over, and the Rays were victorious! David Price only pitched four innings, and after getting hit with a line drive, handed the game over to the bullpen. However, the Rays’ offense started early with a 4-0 lead by the 4th and never gave it up, despite some intense innings. Joel Peralta got his 5th save in the 8-5 final. The Rays are only 2 games back in the Wild Card. They go into New York to the play the Yankees for a four game series.
Between us, the Red Sox, and the Angels, we definitely have the hardest schedule down the stretch. Our boys welcome the bigger challenge.
Here’s to hoping David is not in too much pain right now. Everyone should send him some twitter love.
