From DRAYSBAY
You were great Kotch, wish you and Damon could stay somehow.
Thanks for the ~magical~ memories, Kotch.

There are some moments in baseball that I have difficulty retelling. My voice cracks as I fight the emotions I know will resurface because these moments are too great and so rare. This is one of those moments. When Rays’ Casey Kotchman tipped his hat to Derek Jeter after he homered into the 3000 hit club.
A baseball player loving baseball the way we do. A baseball player respecting his game the way we do. Because after all, he’s a fan too.
This.
Amongst the possible additions, are some old timers like:
Vladimir Guerrero
Johnny Damon
Luke Scott (ok, he’s not that old)and at 1B, Derrek Lee.
How will the Rays replace the possible losses of Johnny Damon and Casey Kotchman?

I wish we could have Kotch back but rumor has it Cleveland is really interested.

Kotchman was robbed. He had a MAJOR-LEAGUE LEADING .998 fielding percentage, yet Gonzalez took the Gold Glove. Wait, what?

have all been nominated for the Gold Glove award.
If Longoria takes this home, it would be the third year in a row he has done so. Both Kotchman and Fuld have never won the award.

An illustration for St. Pete Times I had to do.
I loved this when it came out last Friday. It’s good to see the artist has a tumblr. You did a great job on this.
